Giving charity in secret

In other words, without waiting for a repayment, or something in return. Person who thinks of his salary in the afterlife, actually eliminates the fee in this world and the next.

As some of the surfers know (those who met with me), I do not answer questions on Fridays until the evening. Continuing the tradition of my mother of blessed memory, I dedicate most of my time on Fridays to help the needy, to donations distribution and to groceries distributing to families or individuals. From a deep familiarity I have with the needy, I know for sure that if I will not come to give them the ingredients – all week, their refrigerator remains empty. Literally, chances are these people will not have enough food!!!

Hence, I would like to share one of my experiences with you:

Some time ago, an old man who knows me for a long time called me, and said: “Ghost, I have a small radio I fixed and I want to give you, to give whoever you think needs. I hate to throw it if someone can enjoy it. ” Here’s another person who wishes to donate, I thought to myself while driving to his house. I will not bore you, dear readers, in describing the warm welcome I got. In short, I will just say that I took the device. Even then, I knew I was going to give it to a small child from a needy family. On Friday, the same week, I got to that needy family house. After I put the box with basic groceries, which I give every week, I went to the small boy and told him that I have something for him. “Just for me?” He asked. “Yes”, I replied,”just for you. If you would like to share with your brothers, that’s your business, but I give it to you.” The child’s excitement made me equally excited. I gave him the radio and promised to provide him with batteries every two weeks. The happiness I saw in his eyes was priceless. It’s hard to describe. Although, unfortunately, I’m used to see adversity. Tears choked my throat. A simple radio made such a big happiness to this boy… After all, this radio could be thrown in the trash!
End of story.

Of course, I have many examples of how relatively small things have made people or children happy! In my opinion, in every home there are small and unusefull things, such as an old computer, Discman, video that not in use any longer, or similar items that can make someone happy. There is no doubt that emotional support or helping children, who can not afford a private tutor, with their homework, are worthy of all praise support. In addition, personal donation, collecting donations in the workplace, etc.

I would like to thank in advance to all those people who are willing to donate or to donate their time, to give a hand to the effort and to maintain one of the great commandments – The donation commandment.
